PAA ADU

Financial Officer​

Paa is a junior majoring in electrical engineering. He was born in Ghana, but grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Paa is excited to meet many groups of students this year through Project Motivation. Paa's interests include photography, racket sports, manga, and fried rice.

MARITZA CORREA

President

 

Maritza is a junior from the Bay Area, majoring in Mathematical and Computational Science. Both a Gates and Questbridge scholar, she is passionate on everything and anything regarding low-income, first-generation outreach. Maritza enjoys mentoring students, and has volunteered as both a reading tutor for Ravenswood Reads and as a mentor for the Phoenix Scholars Program. During her free time, Maritza enjoys going on runs through Stanford’s beautiful campus, making lasting memories with friends, and simply enjoying everything life has to offer.

OSCAR A. LEYVA

Transportation Coordinator​

 

 

Oscar is a senior from Stockton, CA, and is studying neurobiology. Oscar is passionate about mentoring and diversity outreach in higher education. Outside of class, he does research on neurodegenerative diseases, as well as mentoring for the Phoenix Scholars program. Oscar enjoys meeting new people, tutoring organic chemistry, and going to the beach. Oscar believes that “limitations” should not hold back students from unbelievable experiences and gifts; limitations should be seen as opportunities to grow, learn, discover, and thrive. He is incredibly excited to work with ProMo!​

ADRIANA ESPARZA

Adriana is a junior from St. Louis, MO, and is potentially majoring in psychology.  She is currently also involved with EPASA as a high school tutor and is part of the Quest Scholars Network. In addition, she works as a sales associate at the Stanford Student Store.  She is a first-gen low-income student who has joined ProMo in an effort to help high schoolers in the way that QuestBridge helped her during her college search. Some of her favorite activities include hanging out with friends, Netflix (Lost, Grey's, Gossip Girl, etc.), and drawing.

Anakaren is a senior from Southern California pursuing a double major in History and Public Policy. Passionate about issues of education outreach and equity, she has also worked as Director of Programming for the Phoenix Scholars, is part of the Quest Scholars Network, and has volunteered as a reading tutor with Ravenswood Reads. In general, she believes that life is all about the people you meet, and so she enjoys spending most of her free time sharing good laughs and making memories with those that she loves most.

BIANKA QUINTANILLA-WHYE

Bianka Quintanilla-Whye is a senior from the Bay Area majoring in Mechanical Engineering. She has enjoyed volunteering for Habla, where she tutors Stanford's janitorial community in English literacy and conversational skills. Bianka spends her time as a Resident Assistant in her dorm, a staff member at the Black House, and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She's looking forward to a busy, yet rewarding senior year filled with friends, music, food, fun and laughter!
